Infinitrack Tunneller was introduced in the 2019 Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game expansion The Infinity Chasers. This set was designed to introduce three distinct archetypes—Infinitrack, Witchcrafter, and Evil Eye—each offering a unique mechanical playstyle. The Infinitrack archetype focuses on Earth Machine-type monsters that can switch between Attack and Defense positions to facilitate Rank 4 and Rank 9 Xyz plays, with Tunneller acting as a utility card that allows players to recycle resources from the Graveyard while providing card draw.

The visual design of Infinitrack Tunneller adheres to the industrial, heavy-machinery aesthetic characteristic of the Infinitrack series, which draws inspiration from construction equipment and mining vehicles. Developed by Konami for the Yu-Gi-Oh!
