Kunai with Chain

Kunai with Chain was originally released in the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, debuting as an Ultra Rare card in the 2002 Metal Raiders expansion. It was designed as a versatile trap card that could function as both a combat trick to boost a monster's attack and a defensive maneuver to shift an opponent's monster into defense position, reflecting the tactical, high-stakes dueling style of the series protagonist's rival, Joey Wheeler.

The version included in Legendary Collection 4: Joey's World, released in 2013, was part of a retrospective set curated to celebrate the iconic cards used by Joey Wheeler throughout the animated series. While the original release carried significant utility in the game's nascent competitive meta, the common reprint in this collection serves primarily as a nostalgic inclusion, allowing players to recreate the classic strategies and thematic decks associated with the character’s history.
