Meklord Army of Skiel

The Meklord Army of Skiel was introduced as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game's support for the Synchro-heavy era of the 5D's anime. Released in the Legendary Collection 5D's Mega Pack, the card reflects the aesthetic of the antagonistic Meklord Emperor archetypes, which were designed as mechanical, modular monstrosities intended to counter the protagonists' reliance on Synchro Monsters. The design focuses on a jagged, industrial look that evokes the desolation of the show's dark future setting.

Mechanically, this card serves as a lower-level member of the Meklord Army series, utilizing an effect that allows players to destroy a face-up monster they control to special summon it from the hand. This design was intended to facilitate swarming tactics and trigger specific graveyard or destruction-based effects common in that generation of play. Upon its release, the card was received primarily as a niche utility piece for dedicated Meklord deck-builders rather than a staple in competitive play.
