Meklord Army of Wisel

The Meklord Army of Wisel was released in the 2011 booster set Extreme Victory, which served as the conclusion to the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's era of the trading card game. These monsters were introduced to represent the ground-level forces of the antagonists from the anime, the Meklord Emperors, who were characterized by their ability to dismantle and absorb Synchro monsters. The design reflects the gritty, mechanical aesthetic of the show's dark future, prioritizing a robotic, militaristic appearance to contrast with the more organic designs of the series' protagonist cards.

The card was designed as a common rarity monster to provide players with accessible utility within the Meklord archetype. Mechanically, it was intended to support the summoning of the boss monsters by searching for other army members, effectively acting as a consistency tool for the deck. While the Meklord strategy as a whole struggled to find consistent footing in the competitive meta of the time, the card remains a recognizable piece of the 5D's card pool and is valued by collectors who specialize in the mechanical designs of the era.
