Nobleman of Crossout was first introduced in the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, serving as a tactical staple in the original Pharaoh's Servant expansion. Designed to counter the prevalent use of Flip Effect monsters and set defensive traps, the card reflected the game’s initial focus on board control and the punishment of hidden information. Its mechanic, which banishes a face-down monster and eliminates all other copies of that card from the opponent's deck, was intended to force players to adapt their strategies away from relying on face-down defensive setups.

The version included in Turbo Pack: Booster Three, identified as TU03-EN017, was released as part of a series intended to provide competitive players with access to older, essential utility cards. By the time this reprint arrived, Nobleman of Crossout had already cemented its legacy as a definitive counter-play card. While modern game speed has eventually rendered it less central than it once was, its inclusion in the Turbo Pack series underscored its historical importance as a tool that shaped the way duels were conducted throughout the game's formative era.
