Nobleman of Crossout

Nobleman of Crossout was introduced to the English TCG market in the 2002 Pharaoh's Servant expansion. Originally appearing in the Japanese OCG set Magic Ruler, the card was designed as a strategic counter-measure to the prevalent use of set monsters, which at the time were frequently powerful defensive walls or cards with flip effects. Its primary function—destroying a face-down monster and banishing all copies of it from the opponent's deck—was an innovative mechanics-driven answer to the meta-game of the era, forcing players to be more cautious about how they committed monsters to the field.

The card's striking illustration features a masked figure in ornate, regal attire, embodying the calculated and cold nature of its effect. Like many cards from the early Konami era, the aesthetic drew heavily from fantasy archetypes.
