Where it came from
Reinforcement of the Army was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in early sets, becoming a staple spell card due to its utility in searching for low-level Warrior-type monsters. The version identified by the code NKRT-EN026 originates from the Noble Knights of the Round Table Box Set, released in 2014. This collection was curated to support the Noble Knight archetype, providing players with a concentrated grouping of essential support cards themed around Arthurian legend.
The card's design is credited to the creative teams at Konami and Studio Dice, who aimed to provide a tactical advantage that accelerates deck consistency. Its illustration features an armory scene reflecting the medieval military aesthetic central to the Warrior deck identity. Upon its release, it was widely received as a highly efficient card, maintaining its status as a foundational element in competitive play for years due to the flexibility it grants in accessing specific game-ending monsters.
