As the title implies, this series features a pair of characters per episode. Each DVD has one music video for each character, plus one part of an eight part story. Annoyingly, the music videos are for the short versions of the songs, not the full versions... to get those, you had to buy the Twin Collection CDs.

Where it came from
The Angelique: Twin Collection serves as a two-part original video animation series released in 2002, based on the popular Angelique video game franchise developed by Koei. Produced by Yumeta Company, this series was created to bridge narratives within the Neo Angelique continuity, reflecting the studio's focus on expanding the franchise's reach beyond interactive gaming into visual media. The production aimed to capture the ethereal, romantic fantasy aesthetic that defined the series, grounding the adaptation in the character-driven drama that resonated with fans of the earlier shojo-influenced titles.
The character designs for this iteration sought to maintain stylistic consistency with the original illustrations by Kairi Yura, whose work on the series is celebrated for its intricate detail and classic shojo sensibilities. By adapting these visual hallmarks into animation, Yumeta Company intended to satisfy a dedicated player base looking for a deeper exploration of the internal dynamics between the series' protagonists. Upon its release, the collection was largely received as a nostalgic expansion for established fans, contributing to the broader legacy of the Angelique franchise as a pioneer in the multimedia romance simulation genre.
