Angel's Feather

Angel's Feather originated as a series of adult visual novels developed by the studio Venet, which were subsequently adapted into a two-part original video animation series released in 2006. The narrative centers on a high school student who discovers his connection to a parallel world, a premise typical of the fantasy-romance genre popular in early 2000s Japanese media. The transition from visual novel to animation sought to capitalize on the existing fan base by emphasizing the supernatural themes and character-driven relationships central to the source material.

The production design for the OVA followed the visual style established in the original game's character art, aiming for a polished, ethereal aesthetic meant to complement the title’s angelic motifs. While the adaptation was received by a niche audience as a faithful rendition of the game's atmosphere, it remained largely contained within the realm of genre enthusiasts. The project stands as a characteristic example of mid-2000s anime production, where visual novel adaptations were a standard method for expanding franchise recognition.
