Bikini Warriors

Bikini Warriors was produced by the studio feel. and released in 2015 as a short-form anime series based on a line of fantasy-themed figures originally conceptualized by Hobby Japan and Megahouse. The series was created to capitalize on the popularity of character-design-focused hobby culture, specifically featuring archetypal female adventurers in stylized, scantily clad armor. By stripping away lengthy narrative exposition, the production focused almost entirely on the aesthetic details of the character designs, which were intended to be playful and visually evocative of tabletop role-playing game tropes.

The character designs were largely inspired by the work of various prominent illustrators within the Japanese hobby industry, most notably Reiichi Hirose, who provided the foundational concepts for the franchise. The series was designed to serve as a companion piece to the physical figure collection, functioning as a promotional vehicle for the merchandise. Upon release, it was received primarily as a niche curiosity within the 'ecchi' fantasy subgenre, noted by critics for its minimalist approach to storytelling and its unwavering commitment to its specific visual gimmick.
