DEVOUR DINNER

Devour Dinner is a 2018 independent short film conceptualized as a dark, satirical commentary on the excess and inherent tension of the modern food industry. Produced during the height of the artisanal and high-end gastronomy movement, the film was created to subvert the visual language of food photography and television cooking segments, trading their typical warmth for clinical, unsettling precision.

The visual design of the project was helmed by a team focused on minimalism and high-contrast lighting, drawing heavy stylistic influence from European arthouse cinema and industrial design catalogs. By stripping away dialogue and relying on rhythmic editing, the creators sought to frame the consumption of a meal as a visceral, almost mechanical process, resulting in a production that resonated with audiences interested in the psychological underpinnings of consumer culture.
