Doraemon: Shin Nobita no Daimakyou - Peko to 5-nin no Tankentai

Released in 2014, Doraemon: New Nobita's Great Demon—Peko and the Exploration Party of Five serves as a reimagining of the 1982 film of the same name. Produced by Shin-Ei Animation as part of the long-running Doraemon film series, the project was intended to modernize the classic adventure through updated animation techniques and a refined emotional arc while honoring the original narrative written by Fujiko F. Fujio.

The film was directed by Shinnosuke Yakuwa, who focused on preserving the core spirit of the 1980s original while incorporating contemporary visual flair. Upon its release, it was well-received by audiences for its faithful yet refreshed character designs and its earnest attempt to capture the sense of wonder and camaraderie that defined the franchise's early cinematic era.
