Doraemon: Shin Nobita no Kaitei Kiganjou

Doraemon: Shin Nobita no Kaitei Kiganjou is a feature-length animated film produced by Shin-Ei Animation as part of the long-running Doraemon cinematic franchise. Scheduled for release in 2026, the film serves as a modern reimagining or sequel-oriented adaptation of the 1983 classic Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea, drawing inspiration from the original manga series created by Fujiko F. Fujio. This entry continues the studio's tradition of blending science fiction elements with the personal growth arcs of Nobita Nobi and his robotic companion, Doraemon.

The film was developed to update the classic undersea adventure for a contemporary audience, utilizing upgraded animation techniques while preserving the core aesthetic character designs established by the studio over several decades. As with recent installments in the franchise, the project focuses on environmental themes and friendship, maintaining the balance of lighthearted comedy and high-stakes peril that has sustained the series' popularity in Japan and internationally since its debut in the 1970s.
