Geori-ui Mubeopja

Geori-ui Mubeopja, known internationally as Street Law, is a South Korean animated feature produced by Daewon Media during a period when the studio was actively expanding its portfolio to include more mature, action-oriented narratives. Released in the early 1990s, the film emerged from a local industry climate that sought to move beyond purely educational or child-centric animation by experimenting with grittier, urban storytelling styles inspired by contemporary crime dramas.

The film is defined by an aesthetic that draws heavily from the stylistic conventions of the era's hard-boiled genre, characterized by dark, atmospheric cityscapes and character designs intended to convey a sense of moral ambiguity. While it represents a significant effort by Daewon Media to reach a broader demographic, it remains a niche entry within their catalog, primarily recognized by animation historians as a reflection of the evolving creative ambitions of the Korean animation sector prior to its later global emergence.
