Where it came from
Released in 2012 as a spin-off of the Eagle Talon (Himitsukessha Taka no Tsume) franchise, this series serves as a comedic historical reinterpretation. The show was produced by DLE Inc. and follows the familiar surreal, low-budget Flash animation style that became the studio's trademark. It aims to lampoon historical Japanese figures and events by inserting the character Yoshida-kun into various eras, continuing the series' meta-humor and satirical approach to Japanese pop culture.
The series was conceived by FROGMAN, the creator and primary voice actor for the franchise, whose distinctive minimalist art style defines the visual identity of the Eagle Talon universe. Designed to be accessible and highly episodic, it was received as a continuation of the franchise’s penchant for breaking the fourth wall and mocking historical tropes. It remains a notable entry for fans of the experimental, improvised-feeling dialogue that characterizes the broader Eagle Talon saga.
