House Foods: Ouchi de Tabeyou

Released in 2003, this short film was commissioned by the Japanese food manufacturer House Foods as part of a promotional campaign for their products. Studio Ghibli, under the direction of Hayao Miyazaki, produced the piece to align with a marketing push emphasizing the warmth of home-cooked meals. Despite its commercial origins, the short maintains the distinct visual language and whimsical charm characteristic of Ghibli productions from that era.

The animation features the endearing, rotund character of Totoro, who appears in a domestic setting to encourage the consumption of House Foods products.
