Iro wo Shiru Tabi, Sekai ga Hiroku Naru, which translates to 'The journey of knowing colors expands the world,' was released in 2022 as a collaborative promotional animation project. Commissioned by the stationery manufacturer Pentel, the short film was produced by Studio CloverWorks to highlight the sensory and emotional impact of color in everyday life. The production serves as a visual celebration of the brand's creative tools, emphasizing themes of discovery and the broadening of one's personal perspective through artistic expression.

The animation was directed and storyboarded with a focus on fluid, emotive storytelling that captures the transition from a monochromatic environment to one vibrant with color. CloverWorks utilized their signature character-focused animation style to create an inviting, contemplative atmosphere that resonated with audiences interested in the intersection of traditional artistry and modern digital animation. Upon its release, it was well-received by the animation community for its high production values and its successful marriage of commercial advertising with genuinely evocative visual artistry.
