Music video for the song Itsuwari by Miu.
In winter of 1962, for the first time ever in Japan, an exquisite counterfeit bill was discovered. The 1.000 Yen counterfeit bill was used in a skillful manner, so that in the end no culprit was ever found and arrested. One of the counterfeit-bills was placed in a time capsule together with a real bill at the Osaka-Kansai Expo. The theme of the MV is inspired by the story of the counterfeit 1.000 Yen bill. The counterfeit bill was deceiving everyone just like the person in the song. If I believe my own lies, will the lie become the truth?

Where it came from
Itsuwari is a visual novel released in 2015 as the first part of the Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception duology. Developed by Aquaplus, the title serves as a direct follow-up to the 2002 tactical role-playing game Utawarerumono, aiming to expand the world-building and political intrigue of its predecessor. It was produced during a period when the developer sought to modernize the franchise's narrative scale for a contemporary audience, blending visual novel storytelling with strategic combat elements.
The character designs for the project were helmed by Tatsuki Amazuyu and Misato Mitsumi, who sought to refine the series' signature aesthetic while introducing a new cast of complex figures. Upon its release, the work was received as a significant narrative achievement in the visual novel medium, noted specifically for its careful character development and the gradual, layered unveiling of its fantasy-inspired political conflicts.
