Ityeojin Hwangnyeoneun Pyeonghwaropge Salgo Sipeo

Ityeojin Hwangnyeoneun Pyeonghwaropge Salgo Sipeo, known in English as I Want to Live Peacefully in the Forgotten Year, emerged as a specialized ONA (Original Net Animation) project distributed via the South Korean streaming platform Laftel. The production serves as a prominent example of the platform’s initiative to adapt popular local webtoon intellectual properties into short-form animated content, aiming to tap into the growing domestic demand for high-quality digital domestic storytelling.

The visual direction focuses on capturing the nuanced aesthetic of the source webtoon, employing a character-driven animation style that prioritizes emotional resonance over high-octane spectacle. While the series functions primarily as a companion to the original print or digital work, it garnered attention for its faithful translation of the source material's character designs and atmospheric pacing, finding a dedicated audience among followers of the contemporary Korean webtoon-to-animation movement.
