Since ancient times, the magical inhabitants of the seas have been under the protection of fairies who use the mystical Dance of the Wind to scare away evil. Over the years, magic began to fade, and magical creatures began to disappear. Where it came from
Jiangtun: Feng Shi Wu, also known as 'Stallion of the Wind,' is a representative entry in the development of Chinese animated feature films during a period of transition for the industry. Produced to explore themes of mythology and historical allegory, the film reflects the stylistic ambitions of domestic studios attempting to bridge traditional folklore aesthetics with contemporary digital production techniques.
The visual design of the film draws heavily from classical Chinese painting and landscape traditions, prioritizing fluid, expressive movement to convey its narrative. While it faced the typical reception challenges inherent in the competitive domestic market of its time, it remains a notable point of discussion among enthusiasts of East Asian animation for its commitment to a distinctively regional artistic identity.
