Jin Guang Yu Jiu Jie: Xu Yao Ji

Jin Guang Yu Jiu Jie: Xu Yao Ji, part of the extensive Pili puppet drama series, was produced by Pili International Multimedia. The series emerged from the long-standing Taiwanese tradition of Budaixi, a sophisticated form of glove puppetry that transitioned into high-budget, cinematic television production. It was designed to continue the intricate, long-form storytelling that has defined the Pili universe for decades, emphasizing elaborate costumes, ornate hand-carved puppets, and dynamic martial arts choreography.

The visual design of the characters and the overall aesthetic were overseen by Pili’s internal creative teams, who aimed to blend traditional cultural elements with modern visual effects and complex, serialized political narratives. The series was received as a significant chapter in the ongoing lore, appreciated by a dedicated fanbase for its commitment to preserving the technical craft of puppetry while expanding the genre's narrative depth and character complexity.
