Jin Guang Yu Jiu Jie: Zhanxue Tiandao

Jin Guang Yu Jiu Jie: Zhanxue Tiandao is a 2013 installment in the long-running Jin Guang puppet series, a Taiwanese glove puppetry tradition modernized for digital audiences. Produced by Huang Li-chou and his team at Jin Guang Multimedia, the series emerged from a decades-old lineage of televised wuxia dramas characterized by their intricate hand-carved puppets, elaborate costumes, and complex, morally ambiguous storytelling that appeals to a dedicated adult fanbase.

The series design relies on a signature blend of traditional wood carving and contemporary aesthetics, emphasizing fluid, cinematic camera work and heightened, theatrical voice acting that has become the hallmark of the Jin Guang style. Zhanxue Tiandao was particularly noted by fans for its focus on character-driven political intrigue and high-stakes martial arts sequences, cementing its status as a pivotal chapter that further expanded the series' dense and interconnected lore.
