Mahoutsukai Reimeiki × Machikado Mazoku 2-Choume Collab Mini Anime

The Mahoutsukai Reimeiki × Machikado Mazoku 2-Choume collaboration mini-anime emerged in the spring of 2022 as a cross-promotional effort between two distinct series airing during the same season. Produced by Studio AQUA ARIS, the project was designed to capitalize on the simultaneous broadcast of The Dawn of the Witch and the second season of The Demon Girl Next Door. These shorts were created to provide lighthearted interaction between the characters of the two fantasy-themed shows, serving as a playful marketing tool to encourage audience crossover for both franchises.

The artistic direction for these shorts maintained a simplified, comedic aesthetic intended to contrast with the more traditional production values of the parent series. By placing characters from vastly different narrative worlds into shared, short-form scenarios, the production sought to foster a sense of community engagement among fans of the respective series. The response was generally viewed as a niche novelty, appreciated primarily by the existing fanbases of both shows rather than as a standalone work of significant narrative weight.
