Mei Chuxi De Yinyangshi Yijia 3

Mei Chuxi De Yinyangshi Yijia 3 is a part of an ONA series derived from the popular Onmyoji franchise developed by NetEase. The series serves as a comedic, lighthearted spin-off that reimagines the characters from the original mobile game—which is rooted in the folklore of the Heian period and the legendary onmyoji Abe no Seimei—as they navigate daily life in a contemporary setting. This creative departure was designed to humanize the series' stylized figures, offering players and fans a break from the intense tactical gameplay of the primary title through slapstick humor and everyday vignettes.

The production maintains the aesthetic identity established by NetEase’s animation division, prioritizing a cute, 'chibi' art style that emphasizes expressive character designs over the detailed, ethereal visuals of the main game. By focusing on the domestic interactions of the Shikigami, the series functions as a narrative expansion intended to bolster audience engagement with the brand. It was received as a charming supplementary work, appreciated primarily by the existing player base for its playful tone and the opportunity to see familiar, serious game characters in domestic, relatable situations.
