Where it came from
Meitantei Conan: 30-Gou Satsujin Jiken was produced by Yomiuri TV as a special installment within the long-running Detective Conan franchise. It serves as a narrative expansion of the series, created to celebrate the enduring popularity of Gosho Aoyama’s iconic mystery manga which follows the high school detective Shinichi Kudo, trapped in a child’s body while solving complex criminal cases.
The production maintains the established aesthetic and structural tone of the series, focusing on intricate procedural puzzles and the evolving dynamics between the core cast members. Designed for the 2026 broadcast window, the special highlights the studio's commitment to modernizing animation techniques while preserving the classic mystery-solving tropes that have defined the franchise since its inception in the mid-1990s.
