Nazotoki-hime wa Meitantei♥

Nazotoki-hime wa Meitantei♥ was produced in 2012 by SynergySP as an original video animation based on the shōjo manga series by Midori Machiya and Natsumi Miya. The project emerged during a period of experimentation for the studio, which sought to translate the charm of popular light-hearted mystery manga into the animated format for the Nakayoshi magazine demographic. The story follows a middle school girl with a talent for solving mysteries, maintaining a whimsical and accessible tone characteristic of early 2010s children's television.

The character designs were adapted to preserve the polished, round-eyed aesthetic typical of the source material's artistic style. While the OVA served primarily as a promotional vehicle for the manga serial, it is remembered by enthusiasts of the genre for its bright color palette and straightforward episodic structure. Upon its release, it was received as a lighthearted, niche addition to the shōjo genre, focusing more on character dynamics than complex investigative plotting.
