Based on a game by Mink's M no Violet division.
Before Ren Nanase was ever a night shift nurse, she was a sexy coed at a nursing school. Hearing rumors that one of the faculty is a rapist, she does exactly what any model citizen would do and confronts him about it. Unfortunately, things go downhill from there, and she winds up being his sex slave, getting a crash course in depravity. But in the middle of that perversion, could there be a hint of purity?
Note: There are 2 Nanase Ren OVAs produced totally different studios, but both feature the same character. The other one is the "Kranke Nanase Ren" (夜勤病棟 Kranke 七瀬恋) bit, which is a special for Yakin Byouto

Where it came from
Night Shift Nurse: Ren Nanase was released in 2005 as part of an adult animation series based on the long-running erotic visual novel franchise. Produced by the studio Animax, the OVA sought to adapt the source material's clinical themes into a visual format, reflecting the period's trend of translating popular adult interactive fiction into limited-run animated features for the home video market.
The character design and aesthetic direction aimed to replicate the visual style established in the original game's CG illustrations, prioritizing fidelity to the established character archetypes of the franchise. Upon its release, the production was noted primarily by enthusiasts of the adult animation genre, serving as a piece of franchise expansion that relied on the established iconography and narrative tropes familiar to the existing fanbase.
