The age of space, where humans create androids called "Workbots" to support their daily lives and live in harmony. A child named Chusuke Uta founds his own jack-of-all trades service with old workbots, where they help with anything from moving to idol protection. Only society and their greed for progress by newer workbots are the only competition that stands in Chusuke and his robot co-workers' way.

Where it came from
Omakase Scrappers was produced by ACC Production in 1994, emerging during a period of experimentation within the Japanese television animation industry. The series was developed as a stylistic synthesis of high-octane mecha action and culinary-themed character arcs, reflecting the era's fascination with genre-bending narratives that appealed to both children and young adults.
The visual identity of the series was defined by a distinct, angular character design aesthetic that prioritized kinetic movement over static detail. While the production faced budget constraints typical of independent studios in the mid-nineties, the creative team sought to cultivate a cult following through unconventional pacing and sharp dialogue, leading to a modest but enduring reputation among animation historians as a unique oddity of its time.
