ONE PIECE: Episode of Alabasta - Sabaku no Oujo to Kaizoku-tachi

Released as the eighth theatrical feature in the One Piece franchise, this production serves as a condensed retelling of the popular Alabasta arc from the original manga by Eiichiro Oda. Produced by Toei Animation, the project was designed to distill the emotional narrative of Nico Robin's introduction and the conflict against Crocodile into a single cohesive experience, catering to both long-time fans and those looking for a thematic overview of the series' mid-game milestones.

The film's visual identity was guided by director Takahiro Imamura, who worked to adapt the sprawling scope of the manga's desert setting into a cinematic format. By focusing on the bond between the Straw Hat Pirates and Princess Vivi, the team sought to emphasize the character-driven stakes of the source material. Upon its release, it was received as a functional, well-paced synthesis of the Alabasta saga, praised primarily for its ability to bring a pivotal storyline to a new audience without sacrificing the core essence of Oda's character work.
