ONE PIECE FILM: STRONG WORLD - EPISODE:0

Released in 2010 as a promotional tie-in for the tenth feature film in the franchise, Episode 0 serves as a bridge to the events of One Piece Film: Strong World. The manga chapter it is based on, written and illustrated by series creator Eiichiro Oda, was originally distributed as a limited-edition booklet to theatrical audiences in Japan. Its production was unique in that Oda took an active role in the creative process to ensure the film's narrative aligned with his broader vision for the series' history.

The narrative focuses on the era preceding the Great Pirate Age, detailing the power dynamics between Gol D. Roger, Shiki the Golden Lion, and the world government. By depicting these legendary figures in their prime, the work sought to deepen the world-building of the series and provide stakes for the film's primary antagonist. It was received enthusiastically by the fanbase, who appreciated the rare opportunity to see Oda's direct narrative input on the franchise's pre-canonical history.
