Onee-chan ga Kita: Hajimete no… Kitaa!

Onee-chan ga Kita: Hajimete no… Kitaa! was produced in 2014 by studio C2C as an original video animation accompaniment to the television anime adaptation of Rikose's manga series. The story centers on the comedic and often chaotic dynamic between a young boy and his new, hyper-affectionate stepsister, fitting squarely into the domestic slapstick genre that was prevalent in early 2010s seinen manga adaptations. This OVA was created to expand upon the lighthearted, character-driven vignettes found in the source material, providing fans with a brief, standalone narrative episode.

The animation reflects the aesthetic sensibilities of C2C during this period, focusing on clean character lines and vibrant colors designed to mirror the manga's expressive style. The project was conceived as a modest supplemental release intended to capitalize on the interest generated by the broadcast anime. While it did not shift the broader landscape of the medium, it remains a recognized example of the studio's early commitment to adapting niche comedy manga, characterized by its brisk pacing and emphasis on exaggerated character archetypes.
