Where it came from
Otsukimi Recital is a song produced by the artist Jin, serving as the tenth installment in the Kagerou Project series released in 2013. The narrative follows the character Momo Kisaragi as she experiences a supernatural event while attempting to enjoy the moon-viewing festival, blending themes of isolation and connection within the project's complex overarching timeline.
The song features distinct, upbeat pop-rock instrumentation characteristic of Jin's early work, paired with a music video illustrated by Sidu. The visual style is marked by high-contrast colors and dynamic, stylized character animation, which helped cement the song’s status as a fan favorite during the peak of the Kagerou Project’s popularity in the early 2010s.
