In a world where ESP is common, only three people have them at the highest possible level. Those three are the special ESP team, The Children. The Children work for BABEL, a special ESPer organization committed to stopping crimes before they happen. Kouichi Minamoto is assigned to watch over them, and he'll need to, because three superpowered ten-year-olds are a problem on their own.

Where it came from
Psychic Squad, known in Japan as Zettai Karen Children, emerged in 2008 as an adaptation of Takashi Shiina's long-running manga series. Produced by SynergySP and aired on TV Tokyo, the series was conceived during a period when supernatural school comedies held a strong foothold in the shonen demographic, blending lighthearted character dynamics with evolving science-fiction stakes involving children gifted with psychokinetic abilities.
The character design and visual direction aimed to maintain the expressive, energetic aesthetic established by Shiina’s original artwork. By balancing the whimsical daily lives of the three young protagonists with the more serious oversight of their handler, the series was received as a charming addition to the genre, notable for its ability to transition between comedic levity and complex narrative arcs as the cast matures over the course of the production.
