Slimetachi no Idobata Kaigi 2

Slimetachi no Idobata Kaigi 2 is an original net animation released in 2023 by the studio AQUA ARIS. The series serves as a comedic, bite-sized exploration of the daily lives and trivial conversations of sentient slime creatures, expanding upon the quirky world-building established in the studio's earlier multimedia projects. Its production reflects the growing trend of short-form, slice-of-life digital content designed for rapid consumption on social platforms and streaming services.

The design of the series centers on a minimalist aesthetic that prioritizes fluid, character-driven animation to suit the pliable nature of the slime protagonists. By focusing on mundane, humorous gossip—as suggested by the title, which translates to 'Slimes' Gossip at the Well'—the creators aimed to humanize the creatures through relatable interpersonal dynamics. The work was received as a lighthearted expansion of the franchise, appealing primarily to fans of the studio's niche, character-focused output.
