Where it came from
Summer Pockets: Dawn Memories is a 2025 animated feature film produced by the studio feel. It serves as an adaptation of the visual novel Summer Pockets, originally developed by Key. The project was born from the enduring popularity of the source material, which is celebrated for its evocative themes of nostalgia and the fleeting nature of childhood summer vacations on a remote, fictional island.
The production sought to translate the intricate branching narratives and emotional weight of the original game into a cohesive cinematic experience. Under the direction of the team at feel., the film focuses on the visual language of the series, aiming to capture the sun-drenched, melancholic aesthetic that defined the visual novel's art style. Upon its release, it was received primarily by the established fanbase as a long-awaited realization of the game's central emotional arc.
