Tennis no Ouji-sama: Eikokushiki Teikyuu Shiro Kessen!

Released in 2011, Tennis no Ouji-sama: Eikokushiki Teikyuu Shiro Kessen! serves as the second theatrical feature film for the globally recognized The Prince of Tennis franchise. Produced by Production I.G, the film commemorates the series' tenth anniversary by transporting protagonist Ryoma Echizen and his teammates to the historic courts of Wimbledon in England. The narrative follows the team as they encounter a group of street tennis players known as the Classics, grounding the familiar high-stakes sports drama of the manga within an international setting that pays homage to the spiritual home of the sport.

The film's visual identity reflects the studio's commitment to maintaining the dynamic, albeit exaggerated, athletic stylization that defined the original anime series. By shifting the setting to London, the design team aimed to infuse the familiar character dynamics with the grandeur of traditional tennis architecture. While the film was crafted primarily to reward long-term fans of Takeshi Konomi’s original manga, it was received as a definitive celebration of the series' longevity and its continued cultural impact within the sports anime genre.
