The Prince of Tennis II U-17 World Cup Semifinal

The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Semifinal serves as a continuation of the long-running franchise created by Takeshi Konomi, which debuted in 1999. This series adapts the intense tournament arc from the manga, following the protagonist Ryoma Echizen and the Japanese U-17 national team as they navigate high-stakes international competition. Produced by Studio M.S.C, the series aims to maintain the dramatic, supernatural-adjacent tennis action that defines the later iterations of the series.

The production design focuses on elevating the visual spectacle of the sport, incorporating the stylized character designs and exaggerated court abilities that fans of the franchise expect. As the U-17 World Cup saga progresses, the series has been received as a pivotal bridge toward the eventual conclusion of the global tournament storyline. By refining the animation quality and pacing, the studio seeks to balance the narrative depth of the ensemble cast with the rapid-fire athletic sequences central to the series' enduring appeal.
