Where it came from
Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister is an anime adaptation based on the popular manga series by Marcey Naito, which began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2021. Produced by Studio Drive and directed by Yujiro Abe, the series follows the journey of a young man living at a shrine with three sisters, blending elements of romantic comedy and spiritual themes. The series debuted in 2024 as part of a wave of romantic comedy adaptations, focusing on the cultural and traditional aesthetic of Japanese shrines. Studio Drive utilized a vibrant color palette and soft lighting to translate Naito's detailed illustrations, emphasizing the contrast between the protagonist’s academic ambitions and his burgeoning relationships.
