Utano Princesama Maji LOVE Kingdom

Utano Princesama Maji LOVE Kingdom was released in 2019 as the first feature-length film adaptation of the popular Uta no Prince-sama multimedia franchise. Produced by A-1 Pictures, the film was designed as a immersive concert experience, focusing entirely on a musical performance by the idol groups featured in the series. This departure from the typical narrative-driven format was a deliberate choice to provide fans with a high-fidelity visual and auditory showcase of the characters' songs and dance choreography.

The film was directed by Takeshi Furuta and Tomoka Nagaoka, who aimed to recreate the atmosphere of a live stage show through intricate 3D animation. The design philosophy emphasized fluid movement and detailed costume rendering, moving beyond traditional 2D animation to capture the scale of a stadium concert. Upon its release, it was well-received by the existing fanbase for its dedication to the rhythm game origins of the franchise and its successful transition of established characters into a full-scale cinematic performance.
