Where it came from
Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 2 was produced by Bandai Namco Pictures and released in 2021 as a direct continuation of the anime adaptation of Osamu Nishi’s manga series. The season follows the protagonist, Iruma Suzuki, as he navigates life at Babyls School for Demons after his parents sell him to a powerful demon lord. This installment focuses on the 'Music Festival' and 'Walter Park' arcs, expanding on the world-building and the complex social hierarchy of the Netherworld.
The production maintains the series' characteristic blend of whimsical comedy and genuine character development, building upon the foundations laid by the first season's successful debut. Directed by Makoto Moriwaki, the adaptation preserves Nishi’s vibrant character designs while emphasizing the camaraderie between Iruma and his classmates. It was well received by audiences for its humor and emotional resonance, solidifying its place as a staple of the supernatural school-life genre.
