Yomi no Tsugai 2nd Season

Yomi no Tsugai, known in English as Daemons of the Shadow Realm, was created by Hiromu Arakawa, the acclaimed manga artist behind Fullmetal Alchemist. The series began serialization in 2021, marking Arakawa's return to the monthly manga format. The narrative centers on Yuru, a young man living in a remote village, whose life is upended by the revelation of his twin sister’s true nature and the existence of mysterious spiritual entities called tsugai.

The design of the series reflects Arakawa's signature ability to blend dark fantasy elements with intricate world-building and character-driven stakes. By weaving folklore-inspired mythology with a modern setting, the work explores themes of duty, family, and control. It has been well received by critics and readers alike, praised for its meticulous paneling and the unique visual identity of the various tsugai, establishing it as a significant contemporary title in the shonen genre.
