White Eared-Pheasant

The White Eared-Pheasant, scientifically classified as Crossoptilon crossoptilon, is a high-altitude galliform native to the mountainous regions of western China, particularly the Tibetan Plateau. These birds were first documented by Western ornithologists in the 19th century, entering the broader taxonomic record as part of the genus Crossoptilon, which is prized by biologists for its specialized adaptation to harsh, alpine environments.
