In Luft Geritzt /CD2 Instrumental

In Luft Geritzt is a pivotal work in the discography of the Austrian atmospheric black metal band Dornenreich, released by Prophecy Productions in 2008. The album represents a distinct evolution in their sound, shifting away from aggressive black metal towards a more folk-influenced, acoustic-driven, and poetic aesthetic. This specific release includes a secondary disc dedicated to instrumental versions of the tracks, offering a focused look at the intricate guitar arrangements and ambient textures that define the group’s mature style.

The band, primarily led by Jorg 'Eviga' Munter, sought to capture a sense of raw, elemental connection to nature through their compositions. The design and presentation reflect the label’s signature commitment to high-quality, concept-driven artwork, aiming to immerse the listener in the band's melancholic and introspective themes. Upon its release, the album was well-received within the European underground metal scene, often cited as a definitive bridge between their heavier origins and their later, more experimental chamber-folk direction.
