Where it came from
Released in 2025 under the Tiroler Landesmuseen label, Interactions serves as a sonic exploration of the contemporary cultural landscape preserved by the Tyrolean State Museums. The project was conceived as an archival experiment, bridging the gap between historical preservation and modern experimental composition to provide an auditory accompaniment to the museum's broader mission of documenting regional history.
The album reflects Roland Heinz's minimalist approach, characterized by delicate soundscapes that avoid traditional melodic structures in favor of atmospheric depth. By focusing on field recordings and subtle instrumental layering, the production aims to evoke the environmental textures of the alpine region. Upon its release, the work was noted for its departure from traditional folk expectations, positioning the institution as a patron of avant-garde musical expression.
