Where it came from
Released in 2015 as a self-titled independent project, this CD represents the musical output of Jenny & The Kelts, a group noted for their blend of folk, rock, and Celtic-inspired instrumentation. Produced without the backing of a traditional record label, the album serves as a document of the band's effort to capture their distinct live energy and fusion of traditional storytelling with contemporary arrangements.
The album reflects the broader DIY ethos of mid-2010s independent music, where artists utilized direct-to-fan distribution to maintain creative autonomy over their sound and branding. As a limited-release effort, the design prioritizes the band's identity and specific instrumental aesthetic, focusing on an accessible production that highlights the interplay between their fiddle-driven melodies and modern rhythm sections.
