Metal Heart / Kaizoku-Ban

Metal Heart and Kaizoku-Ban were originally released in the mid-1980s as foundational pillars of German heavy metal. Metal Heart, produced by Dieter Dierks, marked a pivotal evolution in the band's sound, incorporating more polished production and orchestral influences, such as the use of Tchaikovsky's Slavonic March. Kaizoku-Ban, an EP capturing the raw energy of their live performances in Japan, serves as a companion piece reflecting the band's international reach during their peak creative period.

The 2013 reissue by Solid Records was part of a broader archival initiative to bring the Accept catalog to a new generation of listeners with updated remastering. These editions were designed to maintain the integrity of the original aesthetic while offering improved sonic clarity for modern playback systems. The release was well-received by the metal community, providing a accessible entry point for those seeking to explore the band's mid-eighties transition toward melodic, hook-driven heavy metal.
