Rikki

Released in 2000, this self-titled CD serves as an independent project from the artist known as Rikki. Coming out of the turn-of-the-millennium independent music scene, the album reflects the era's transition toward artist-controlled distribution, where musicians often bypassed traditional labels to manage their own production and promotion. This release functions as a direct manifestation of the artist's personal creative vision, unmediated by industry executives or standard commercial design requirements.

The aesthetic and musical direction of the project focus on the specific artistic voice of Rikki during this formative period. Because the album was self-released, it lacks the broader design history associated with major-label marketing campaigns. Instead, it offers a raw, authentic look at the artist's early work, characterized by the intimate, small-scale production typical of independent music from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
