Walküren Am Dornenbaum

Released in 2010 by the experimental label Entr'acte, Walküren Am Dornenbaum serves as a collaborative exploration between Tomas Korber and Ralf Wehowsky. The project reflects the intersection of two distinct approaches within the noise and electroacoustic music scenes. Wehowsky, a central figure in the German experimental movement known for his work with P16.D4, provides a conceptual framework that emphasizes process-oriented sound design, while Korber contributes his characteristic precision in layering dense, textured compositions.

The album was conceived as a limited-edition CD release, typical of Entr'acte's commitment to physical media as a curated experience. The design adheres to the label's minimalist aesthetic, prioritizing the sonic content while grounding it in an understated, industrial-inspired visual identity. Upon its release, it was met with interest from the avant-garde community, noted primarily for the tension created by the merging of Korber's technical rigor with Wehowsky's unpredictable, often opaque, sound-sculpting methods.
