2000 AD #2496

2000 AD is a foundational British weekly science fiction anthology comic that first debuted in 1977. Issue 2496, published in 2024, continues the legacy of the publication as a platform for genre-bending storytelling, most notably anchored by the long-running Judge Dredd strip. The magazine maintains its distinctive punk-inspired editorial identity, which has historically prioritized provocative social satire, high-octane action, and a unique synthesis of British underground humor and bleak, futuristic dystopian narratives.

The design and visual direction of this specific issue follow the magazine's established commitment to featuring both veteran industry legends and emerging artistic talent. By balancing serialized narratives like Judge Dredd with independent short stories, 2000 AD serves as a bridge between classic comic tropes and contemporary graphic novel sensibilities. The publication is widely regarded for its influential role in shaping the modern comics industry, providing a space where artists are encouraged to experiment with stark monochromatic themes and bold, aggressive layout choices.
