2000 AD #2497

2000 AD is a long-running British science fiction anthology comic that first appeared in 1977, known for its irreverent tone and its role in launching the careers of influential creators like Alan Moore and Grant Morrison. Issue 2497, released in 2024, continues the publication's tradition of presenting serialized stories, most notably featuring the iconic Judge Dredd. This specific era of the magazine maintains the publication's legacy of high-concept satire and gritty, futuristic visual storytelling that has defined British comics for decades.

The aesthetic of 2000 AD #2497 adheres to the high-contrast, kinetic illustration style that the series has refined since the late 1970s. The issue utilizes a mix of veteran and contemporary artists to maintain the visual continuity of its flagship strips, focusing on detailed ink work and bold layouts that reflect the magazine's established 'look'—a design philosophy aimed at capturing the frantic energy of dystopian science fiction while ensuring the narrative remains accessible to both long-time readers and newcomers.
